The year 2020 will mark the 400th anniversary of The Mayflower’s voyage and the founding of Plymouth Colony. Since 2014 and until the anniversary in 2020, Plymouth 400 Inc. – sponsored by the town of Plymouth and the Commonwealth – has put together a number of exciting events and programs to commemorate the historic events that eventually led to the founding of our nation. White Wood Kitchens is proud to be a sponsor and business partner of this incredible series of events.
The events and programs will take place in multiple states in New England with a few programs in the UK. They will include historical and cultural exhibitions, live televised and web events, multi-day festivals, original arts and entertainment collaborations and educational programming and resources. All of the events honor the English and Wampanoag whose dedication and sacrifice shaped the future.
From February 26th to March 31st of this year, they will be hosting an online license plate auction on their website, featuring low numbers and historic dates (2020 included). The plates feature the Plymouth 400 logo and are the only Massachusetts plates that depict history! The plates will also be available at any full-service RMV for only $40!
Some of the largest and most significant events will take place in 2020, including:
